The Ginkgo Butterfly Collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael’s fascination with a particular species of ginkgo—Ginkgo biloba, or “butterfly ginkgo,” which grows with double leaves resembling butterfly wings—sparked his imaginative interpretation of this plant.
